Under Global Travel Waiver Policy of Singapore Airlines
Request for Cancellation – Non operation of flights
Referring to above subject, I have booked above ticket through Makemy Trip (MMT) and completed onward journey on **.**.****. Subsequently due to COVID ** my return journey on **th August **** flights were cancelled by Singapore International Airlines (SIA). After repeated mails MMT responded on **.**.**** over phone and raised a request for cancellation (Ref.No.*****************) and sent me a mail acknowledging the same with an advice to wait for **-** days for process. In the meanwhile I wrote to SIA to know the status. SIA reply was they did not receive any such request from MMT and advised me to contact MMT on this issue. After lapse of ** days, again I started sending several mails for which they responded over phone and simply said “regretting for delay and raising a fresh request for cancellation” (Refund Application No.********** dated **.**.****) and sent me a mail acknowledging the same with a promise to process the same at the earliest.
It appears that MMT in connivance with SIA, wanted to cheat me and evade refund. If they do not respond and remit the refund amount this time, I shall proceed legally against parties concerned to recover the amount with damages and expenses.
I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
