I Have Booked Air Tickets From Bangalore To Delhi Via Indigo Airlines On Jan ** ****. PNR FH**TP. Travel Date Apr ** ****.
Due To The Corona Virus Pandemic Outbreak And Subsequent Nation-Wide Lockdowns, All The Flights Have Been Suspended / Cancelled Automatically From Dates Mar ** Till May *.
Now When I Approach Indigo Airlines, They Are Not Ready To Give The FULL REFUND. Instead They Are Providing Only CREDIT SHELL Option Valid Till Feb ****.
As I Don't Have Any Travel Plans Further I Am Not Interested For Credit Shell Instead I Need My Money Back In FULL. When I Ask Them, They Are Not Ready To Give My Money Back In FULL. They Are Forcing Only The Credit Shell Or Cancellation Charges Which Is **% Loss To Me. I Have Approached The Airlines Customer Care, Nodal Officer, Appellete Authority, Civil Aviation Ministry/DGCA Via Airsewa And Public Grievance Portal As Well. But Still The Indigo Airlines Are Not Providing Me With The FULL REFUND. Also Indigo Claims That, "As Per The Recent DGCA Circular Number – AV-*****/**/****-DT, Passenger May Claim Full Refund For The Reservation Booked Between **th March **** To **th April **** To Travel Between **th March **** To *rd May ****. We Have Checked Your PNR And We Understand That Your Reservation Was Booked On **st Jan, **** To Travel On **th April, ****."
Really All Customers Are Liable To Get FULL REFUND No Matter When They Booked The Tickets. If The Travel Date Falls During Lockdown And The Flights Are Suspended/Cancelled, They Are Eligible For FULL REFUND. Its Our Hard Earned Money And We Have Every Right To Get It Back In FULL. Is That Not Correct?
Indigo Is Trying To Cheat Customers By Not Providing FULL REFUND Like This. This Is Totally Disappointing, Unfair And Unacceptable To The Common Public.
Not Only Myself Many Other People Are Also Suffering Similarly.
So Kindly Please Help Us In This Matter To Get The FULL REFUND From Indigo At The Earliest. Thanking You For Your Time And Help.
