Arindam Banerjee filed complaint against Nobroker on Jul 1, 2022
I was staying in a property in Bangalore maintained by Nobroker. I stayed in the property for about ** months and while I left the property, Nobroker gave me a bill of approximately ***** which is inflated and does not makes sense to me. In the legal contract I had with Nobroker it was clearly mentioned that :
The Sub-Lessee has paid an interest-free refundable security deposit
(“SecurityDeposit”) for securing due performance of the terms of this Agreement as
set out in Schedule *.On the expiry or earlier termination of this Agreement and on
the Sub-Lessee handing over peaceful, quiet and physical possession of the Scheduled
Premises to the Sub-Lessor, the Sub-Lessor shall, simultaneously, refund the Security
Deposit after deducting a * (One) months’ Rent from the Security Deposit towards the
maintenance expenses of the Scheduled Premises. Further deductions may be made
from the Security Deposit, in case of arrears (if any) as to Rent (including without
limitation any Rent liable to be paid under Clause *), pending bills for electricity,
water, telecommunication, consumables, and/or repair of damages other than ordinary
wear and tear.
The maintenance expense was agreed in the agreement as * month's rent, whereas in the bill they provided they charged a total bill of **,*** which is about **,*** extra than monthly rent which is in the agreement. Also, the bills for damaged components looks very exorbitant, while I was not given anything new, as replacement charging the tenant ***% of the cost does not makes sense. I have a concern with this calculation, I raised with Nobroker teams repeatedly through calls and social media but they just argued but did not provide a resolution.
Some of the charges are even false, I haven't damaged any window, still they are charging *** for that. CFL bulb is damaged, but I have replaced it with a tubelight.
Would request your help to kindly look into this matter and help me from this cheating and the robbery by nobroker. This is clear case of exploitation of tenant by nobroker.
