Hi, I have taken Hathway Broadband connection in May **** in Chennai where I used to work. I used the connection for one year till May ****. I relocated to other place and asked Hathway broadband team to close my connection. I called them multiple times and also informed them to close when they called me to renew my account. They didn't close the connection but used to call me everyday asking me to renew my account. In the month of December ****, I received a mail from Hathway legal team asking me to submit Modem and if not legal action will be taken. I mailed them that the Modem is lost in relocation process and I am ready to pay the amount. They responded gave me account details and asked me to pay Rs.****/- for modem loss compensation. I have paid them and I got the confirmation that payment is received and the account is closed. Suddenly after a month, in January ****, I got a message that my account is Re-activated and asked me to renew. This happened without my consent. From that day, literally everyday I am getting calls to recharge or renew or submit modem. I am frustated too much and responded on top of account closure mail quoting why the account is re-opened without my consent. They didnt respond again. And when I sent a reminder mail yesterday (**-June-****), I received a response from them asking me to pay Rs.****/- for modem loss. Their customer support team is very reckless and misusing customer information. And also torturing the customers with their reckelss behavior. They are rudely cutting the calls if I say my problem. I need an apology from Hathway officials and account closure confirmation. Please help me. I will attach a mail proof which will have complete details of transaction , account closure confirmation and their reckless responses. Thanks in advance.
