Hathway Braodband Delhi - Hathway asking me to pay for device charges when I already submitted the device

I have moved from Delhi it’s been almost *months now and at the time I shifted I called this number ***** ***** saying I wanted him to collect the router as I was moving and scheduled the pick up over the phone he came to pick it up and took the router but Hathway has been calling me since saying I have not returned it how is it possible that someone knows Iam shifting and I was waiting to take advantage of stealing the router if I wouldn’t have told them to collect it …Totally a scam I don’t have the device now and they want to charge me for fees …Their people stole it and now Iam being liable for the fees ???
