Mahua Ghosh filed complaint against Air india on Feb 25, 2021
I was booked on Air India flight to Denver, Colorado from Kolkata via Delhi and Frankfurt for **rd February ****. My luggage was through checked in from Kolkata to Denver and I was also given boarding pass till my final destination. In Frankfurt at the time of boarding for my flight I was stopped by Homeland Security representative of US and informed that I will not be allowed to board the flight as transiting Shenzhen to travel to US is temporarily banned and Air India shouldn’t have allowed me to fly till Frankfurt in the first place. Not only was I misled by Air India but they didn’t even bother to follow the new regulations. This could have happened to our elderly parents too and this incompetence should not be allowed to be tolerated by anyone. I was badly hassled and had to immediately buy a ticket back to Delhi on Lufthansa. I demand a full refund from Air India.
