Goibibo air india - Goibibo sent flight cancellation but flight operated as scheduled

Herewith I would like to express my highest dissatisfaction I have faced with booking my flight tickets via Goibibo. It has broken the trust and confidence that people have on third party booking sites rather than direct airline booking. I am being exhausted and ruined morally, psychologically, emotionally and monetarily.

I have booked my return ticket from Dubai to chennai on Sunday ** May **** for my aged parents and children in air India AI *** depart time **:** UAE time. Around *.** pm, I have received the cancellation mail forwarded in below mail thread. They have been prepared for airport travel , checking out from the accommodation which is planned and ended on ** May ****.

In a panic we tried to reach Goibibo customer care and close to * hours we had calls which used to disconnect multiple times after an unfinished conversation lasting for **-** minutes. Each time call gets reconnected we were about to start from square * explain the issue and ask for next availability to travel. Airline will reschedule if the booking is made direct with them. After talking to Goibibo custtcare for *-* hours we have been given multiple options which made our bp go higher

*. Reschedule to the next day with a fare change for date change as **k+
*. Reschedule with a connecting flight that goes from Dubai to Mumbai to chennai
*. After much struggle reschedule for ** May ****, Tuesday.

We opted for * option finally where we don’t have better than that . As the travel is * days delayed my father a cardio and nephro patient did not have back up of life saving medications. He was running out of medicines. It created mentally agony in finding a dr overseas and getting medications. We were forced to arrange for * days extra accommodation, travel cost and doctor consultation and other overheads. All these things spoiled our entire sweetness of the vacation.

The best part is we found that airline was not cancelled intact it was scheduled and departed as per plan. How come if cancellation message is from airline how did other passé boarded and apply to make their travel while We were not able to.did Goibibo sell our tickets on preliminary rate. We need justice and refund for the loss incurred to us.
