Hello,
I bought a domain via Godaddy Auction for $**.
Got the receipt and confirmation in my email. Though the domain was showing in my auction account, the domain didn't show up in my main account so I contacted support, and they assured me the domain will be transferred to my account within a few days. I waited for a few days and contacted them again (and again) they kept assuring me and asking me to wait for a few days. after contacting them a few times they asked me to contact the support at auctions@godaddy, after contacting on that email. I got the following response.
"Unfortunately, due to an unexpected issue, this domain was recently made available for purchase in error. This domain should not have been available for registration, auction, or capture via backorder.
We have refunded your full purchase amount and we are taking proactive steps to prevent this error from happening again in the future.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any confusion this issue may have caused.
Thank you for your understanding and for choosing Go Daddy."
and shortly after I got the email that "A product's been removed from your GoDaddy account"
and shortly after I got the email that "A product's been removed from your GoDaddy account" and got the refund.
I told them I really need that domain as I was assured I got it so I made some commitments.
they replied:
"Unfortunately, we had to cancel the auction transaction for ----.com, as the partner registrar of this expired domain auction, has advised they would not be able to provide the domain name. This could be because the previous owner redeemed & renewed the domain name, or there is some type of hold, such as a legal dispute, which made it not possible to provide the domain name to us. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is out of our control, as the registrar in control of the name will not provide the domain."
Recently I realized by seeing the whois registry of the domain, that the domain was actually sold to someone else after a few weeks. and the current domain holder asks for the price of $***** for the same domain.
I am very pleased with Voxya. They helped me resolve my issue without much hassle. Very impressed and satisfied.
