Hdfc Ergo General Insurance Company Ltd - Full Amount Not Returning after CANCELLATION of the Insurance Policy

I did my Vehicle Insurance in HDFC Ergo From **-**-**** To **-**-**** whereas I made a Claim on **-**-****.
In the meantime I renewed my Vehicle Insurance in the same HDFC Ergo from **-**-**** to **-**-**** by paying Rs. **,***/-. After Renewal of the Policy, HDFC Ergo Declined my Claim.
So I Cancelled my Renewed HDFC Ergo Policy on **-**-**** and Taken another Insurance in Liberty General Insurance.
After Cancellation I got the Refund of Rs. **,***/- There is a deduction of Rs.*,***/- by Saying prorated basis the deduction was done.
For * Days (From **-**-**** to **-**-****) Rs.*,***/- how they arrived prorated basis they are not justifying. and not paying the remaining amount.
