I purchased an iPhone ** from Croma Kathriguppe on **-Sep-**** (Invoice No: SLA************).
At the time of purchase:
I was told there is no discount on the iPhone.
I clearly refused AppleCare+ initially, but the sales executive Manjunath forced me by creating fear of breakage.
I was promised a ₹*,*** discount on AppleCare+ (₹*,***).
But in the invoice, the discount was wrongly shown on the iPhone, while AppleCare+ was billed at full price. This was never disclosed to me and is a clear case of false billing and mis-selling.
When I went back to the store within ** hours, I spoke with Branch In-charge Krishnamurthy, Manjunath, his Manager Shivu, and other senior staff. Instead of resolving the issue, they again tried to convince me with the same false explanation — that the discount was on the phone — even though I was repeatedly told during purchase that there was no discount on the phone.
This shows the staff have done internal manipulation, cheated the customer, and also misled the company’s own system. Their behavior was intimidating, unprofessional, and unacceptable.
Staff Involved:
Manjunath (sales, directly attended me)
Shivu (store manager)
Krishnamurthy (branch in-charge, part of the **-hour follow-up discussion)
My Demand:
Immediate cancellation and refund of AppleCare+ (₹*,***).
Strict action against the concerned staff for cheating, mis-selling, and intimidation.
If this is not resolved, I will file a police complaint for cheating and intimidation, approach the consumer court, escalate to Apple India, and post this incident publicly with invoice proof.
