I wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent hotel stay in Gwalior, which was booked through the Goibibo online travel platform. The accommodation provided was severely deficient and failed to meet basic standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service.
During my stay, there was no hot water facility available in the room. Despite repeated requests, the hotel staff failed to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Additionally, there were unreasonable delays in providing basic necessities such as drinking water, indicating poor service management.
A serious hygiene concern was observed as the tap water was black in color and appeared contaminated, rendering it completely unfit for use. Due to the lack of hot water, my minor child was compelled to bathe using ice-cold water, which caused physical discomfort and posed a potential health risk.
Furthermore, the hotel staff displayed rude and uncooperative behavior and showed no intent to address or resolve the issues raised, further aggravating the situation.
The above conditions amount to a clear deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, as the services provided were grossly inconsistent with what was advertised and paid for on the Goibibo platform.
I am therefore seeking:
A full refund of the booking amount, and
Appropriate action against the hotel and the booking platform for promoting and listing such substandard accommodation.
I request the concerned authority to kindly take note of this complaint and initiate necessary action in the interest of consumer protection.
