The present complaint is being filed against MakeMyTrip India Pvt. Ltd. (operating under the brand Goibibo) for deficiency in service and failure to refund the amount due to the complainant.
The complainant had made a booking through Goibibo for an amount of ₹ **,***. By mistake there we have made a duplicate booking. As per Air Asia policy if there is a dupicate booking we can get back the refund.
Despite repeated follow-ups through customer support channels including emails and calls, the opposite party has failed to process the refund within a reasonable time. The responses received have been vague, inconsistent, and non-committal, thereby causing unnecessary delay.
The conduct of the opposite party in withholding the legitimate refund without any valid justification amounts to clear deficiency in service and unfair trade practice. The complainant has suffered financial loss and mental harassment due to the actions and inaction of the opposite party.
It is therefore prayed that appropriate directions be issued to the opposite party to refund the due amount along with interest and to compensate the complainant for the mental harassment and inconvenience caused.
