Swiggy - Food not delivered

It was around *-**PM, as i was hungry i ordered food on Swiggy. Later, at around ** PM, i checked the status, but it is still showing as being prepared. i got suspicious and contacted customer support. He responded me saying, it will be delivered shortly. And this happened multiple times. At around **-**PM, i askeid customer support to connect me with his supervisor. But he didnt and then around **-** PM, he is telling that there is some strike going on and he couldn't deliver the food. I try to convince him that it is too late to get food at this time, if they could have informed me earlier, i could have chose alternate option. But he is still adamant saying nothing. Why customers should suffer for the mistake or non-compliant things framed by Swiggy.
