I want to share my ordeal with Swiggy and the harassment and embarrassment I faced by Swiggy.
I ordered some food items through Swiggy App on **.**.**** from Noida. I placed my order at around * pm and the App showed my waiting time was **-** minutes but ever after waiting for more than one hour, no order was delivered. Finally, after more than one hour of waiting, the delivery person arrived and delivered me the food parcel and when I asked him about taking so much time, he did not give any satisfactory reply. After taking food parcel from delivery person, I entered my room and I noticed that the parcel was tampered and looked like somebody had opened my parcel and then I opened my food parcel and upon opening the parcel, I found that some food items were missing from the parcel. I got very angry and annoyed because despite being late I gave the delivery person some tip also. It was my daughter’s birthday that day and I had ordered food for my daughter but I found food items missing from my parcel. I called up the delivery person on his mobile and asked him about my missing food items, after asking him repeatedly in angry tone, he replied that his son might have opened the parcel because he went to his home after picking up my parcel from the restaurant. I got very annoyed listening to this. He deliberately stolen items from my parcel for which I was paying and he was telling lies to me.
Then I called up Swiggy call center executive and told him the whole incident about delivery person having stolen my food items from the parcel. He said it is very unfortunate and he offered only *** Rupees return in the form of Swiggy coupon whereas the bill amount was Rs. ***. I got very annoyed over this and asked either to replace my whole order or to return my full amount for the harassment I faced because of the Swiggy people.
I again called up Swiggy call centre and spoke to a Swiggy executive who said okay we will replace your partial order and I said okay please replace my partial order. Then he said that my order has been placed again and will be delivered within ** minutes but even after passing of ** minutes, no order arrived and when I tried to call the delivery person on his given number, he did not pick up the call even after repeated calling. I again called up Swiggy people again and told them that no order has been arrived after ** minutes of waiting and the delivery person was not picking up the call. The Swiggy executive said let me try calling him and he put my call on hold for two minutes but even after * minutes of hold, he did not respond. I disconnected the call and then I called up again, one Swiggy executive picked up the call and I told him that again my order has been delayed by one hour and angrily I cancelled my order at midnight **.
This was my ordeal with Swiggy. It shows how Swiggy plays fraud with their customers and cheat on them and rob their money. I not only lost my whole amount but also faced harassment and embarrassment by Swiggy. Strict action must be taken against Swiggy for cheating customers like me any many others like me.
