FedEx - FedEx package not delivered - Abandoned - Delhi customs

Fedex tracking # ************, the package was picked up from USA on *th Oct ****, and landed delhi on *th Oct ****. All necessary KYC documents for customs clearance was duly submitted on **th Nov **** and the same was acknowledged and accepted by FedEx and the customer care informed me, that the clearance process will be slightly delayed, so i have to wait for that, after a week when i called up the customer care, the status of the shipment was same, subsequently regular follow-up was done till *th December ****. On *th December, the customer care person informed that, the shipment was abandoned on *rd December, and they can help me out by allocating a person specifically to handle this case, After this, regular phone calls and follow up email was sent to this person regarding the clearance, but no response from FedEx side.
Even i have escalated the issue to customer care, executive desk and even to the vice president - Philip Cheng, all i got was a case ID number and a team reference number stating that, apologies for the inconvenience, the case was referred to the team and FedEx people will get back to me. But no one has called me up regarding this issue.

On * Jan ****, when i called up the customer care, they informed that, the package has been mixed up with the Delhi customs abandoned area and it cant be retrieved. Following which i received a email from the allocated person stating that, the shipment cant be retrieved due to the above reasons.

Now i lost USD**** (package worth which includes shipping charges) due to the serious lapse by FedEx.
If the FedEx would have reacted swiftly after receiving the KYC, the shipment would have been cleared. As the KYC documents was submitted much before the shipment got abandoned.
So FedEx should take responsibility and compensate me accordingly.
