Dell - Faulty Tech Support caused Laptop damage

I wanted to purchase a DELL XPS battery and DELL technical support team told me it has to be purchased along with Technical support and the battery change will be performed by DELL onsite technician. Before battery change system was working properly with poor battery backup and technician verifed that. After battery change
system didn't turned on and technician opened almost entire motherboard and told me battery surge damaged the motherboard and he has noted part numbers to provide the fixes. As he is running out of time he noted the fact on service notes and left for the day. DELL is accepting the fact of motherboard issue but not ready to fix without payment for motherboard as laptop is out of warranty.
