Please find the complaint details, below mentioned was the request sent to TRIP.com on *nd June. regarding cancellation of flight due to medical reason. Dear Team,

Good evening,

As discussed on over phone yesterday, I wanted to share my medical documents with you. I have my flight on *th of June MAA-DEL. Which I am unable to travel because of medical emergencies. I have attached medical report for your reference. Could you please go ahead and request for cancellation from the airline.

This is a very serious issue here. And being the noble citizen of India I won’t be taking this unprofessional behaviour from Trip.com.

Even though I intimated them guys * days in advance that I’m unable to travel because of medical reasons. I submitted the proof, you guys are only refunding me ***INR. I worked for Airindia your Customer service agent Ms Julie, she he telling me the cancellation chargers are **** INR. As per DGCA any cancellation done or requested before **hrs only **** INR will be charged for the domestic travel.

I have been touch with you guys since last three days and now when I called up to check if the confirmation of cancellation has come through then there is no response and some false rules are being told to me.

I have all The communication details between both of us and I’m going to submit the same situation to the DGCA and the Air India office.
Please note:

When cancelling a domestic flight, you will be charged INR *,*** or the airfare charge (whichever is lower). For an international flight it will cost you INR *,*** or the airfare charge (whichever is lower). Cancellation charges for international flights may vary.**-Jun-**** as per DGCA.
I think I have mentioned multiple time. I want you to show me the rules where airline is refunding my amount in coupons, and secondly I already requested for cancellation * days in advance from the the date of departure but your team did not take any action, instead while I was unwell, i had to keep making calls to your team to make sure cancellation is done on time for to incur any heavy fine from airline,

I would like the breakup of fees deducted from the airline. And I want my refund in the original payment method.

I also in touch with DGCA and AIRINDIA. These were the entire conversation between me and Trip however they did not paid any attention and I had to suffer paying the cancellation charges. I urge you to look into this complaint .
