I had taken a loan from Axis bank and have been paying the EMIs on time. Due to some financial crisis I had missed one EMI which was pending from long time. Suddenly the Bank started sending Auto Debit instructions to my account from the month of February-****. Since the Pandemic, Salaries were not proper and other medical reasons I was running shoft of funds and went to Madiwala Axis Bank Loan Department and informed them that as I have been paying my regular EMIs monthly without fail, it is only this previous one EMI which was missed, I'm currently unable to pay and will surely pay it in near future when things become normal. They did not take any written request for this but the agent said we will convey it to the Bank. Since Feb-**** till this month, the Bank kept sending me Auto Debit instructions and my account did not have sufficient amount and it kept hitting in negative. Suddenly my Bank charged me an amount of Rs. ****/-. (Please see attached Image) I visited my HDFC Bank ans when enquired they said it is because multiple Auto Debits have been bounced on your account and hence the charges have been levied. Then I wrote an email to Axis bank to stop sending debit instructions and I inform them that currently the situation is not favorable to pay one balance EMI along with my regular EMI. But the Bank kept sending me Debit instructions and even after clearing the Regular + my Previous EMI, they stil sent me another debt note of ***/- Rs. on *-June-** Plus another * Rs today on **-Jun-**.
Everyone is aware about the current situation. How people are facing challenges to survive yet I managed to pay all my regular EMIs. But the Axis Bank did not care to stop sending reminders of my one missing EMI and today Im in loss of around ****/- (****/- Rs as bounce charges by Axis Bank + ****/- Rs charged by my local HDFC Bank as ECS bounce charges) Rs in total from both Axis Bank and my HDFC Bank charges. I have not missed on my payments but Banks should understand our situations too at the end we are all humans and an understanding is required to build the relationship between the Banks and customers.
FYI - The missed EMI has been paid off fully until this month. Yet the Axis Bank is still debiting amounts from my account. I can see * Rs debited today I do not know why. This Bank has forgotten all human values and has taken ****/- Rs in total in the name of bounce charges from my account in this pandemic situation. This is a really a matter of shame for Axis Bank to charge customer so badly in the pandemic situation. I want consumer Redressal forum to help me take legal action against the Bank and help in getting back my excess amount debited from my account from this Axis Bank. Please see attached screenshots for your reference. I want refund on debited amount to a total of Rs. ****/- from the period of March-**** till Jul-****
I'm ready to bear the bounce charges levied by my HDFC Bank of Rs. ****/- But I want a Refund of total bounce charges debited by Axis Bank to my account to a total of Rs. ****/-
