NTA has said that the comparison of the singing of the Solitary Reaper with the Cuckoo Bird is a simile when in fact it is a Metaphor according to numerous sources online and literature textbooks. There is no use of 'like' or 'as' which means it is not a simile and many students in my shift have suffered a drastic drop in their normalized scores as a result.
I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
