In **** I bought brand new Hyundai i**N from dealer.I am ** years old senior citizen and drives only on Sunday . There are only **** KM driven. And on **-**-**** , there was engine noise coming from engine, so I called dealer workshop & got it towed to their workshop. He sent estimate of Rs. ****** for entire engine replacement. Sent me picture of dent on oil filter beneath the engine. When asked , just replace the filter but he said you drove with noise and so the whole engine got damaged. I told him I drove only for couple of minutes and drove back to my home immediately . Does not make any sense that in couple of minutes driving with noise from engine can cause entire engine failure.
Many thanks for your proactive approach and prompt action. This has accelerated and helped in resolving my issue.
