As per the new TRAI rule, Asianet Digital TV provided the facility to subscribe channels through their portal. As a first step, I chose an Ala Carte set of channels from their portal and when I got the notification to recharge due to insufficient balance I paid the due amount through their portal. However, after a couple of days, the service got disconnected. After many attempts I got a chance to talk to their customer support executive and each time I talk to them I get different updates- either their system is down/ billing team would get back/ it takes a week to get the payment reflected and many other lame excuses just to disconnect the call and after that as per their design itself there are no follow-ups. In spite of my busy work schedule, I took a day off to go to their office in Edapazhinji. To my surprise, none of the staff could give me an answer regarding the payment issue. They just know that there was a software upgrade that took place. As most of the staff were elders and realising their helplessness, I agreed on their promise of being contacted by their relationship manager from Technopark to sort out the things. It has been * weeks since my visit but I haven't got a single call to enquire on the issues. During my **-** mins at the office, I could see multiple people reporting issues with the services offered by Asianet. So, apparently, this is their operational model.
I have all the proof that my payment was debited from my account. I can understand the technical challenges that may rarely happen during online payments. But such negligence and unprofessionalism from Asianet Communication Digital Tv cant be tolerated!
