Colive marathali - Deposit not returned

I paid deposit and one month rent to CoLive for their flat. I never ended up moving in because of personal issues. I never even collected the keys or moved my stuff into the flat. They're refusing to return the deposit which is supposed to be refundable. They're saying it is policy to not return deposit if notice period wasn't raised - however I never shifted in so there's no question of notice period, and secondly I kept my point of contact with Colive informed of everything as it happened.
