HDFC ERGO General Health Insurance Co. Ltd - CREDIT SHEILD CRITICAL ILLNESS CLAIM DENIAL

Dear Sir/ Madam

I am Vidhan Narain Sinha, My Mother took a Car Policy and Sarva Suraksha Policy From HDFC ERGO in January ****. At that time HDFC ERGO DSA and Sales Team told me that this policy covers all types of death and the loan outstanding at that time is bear by the insurance company that is HDFC ERGO. As the loan is also sanction by HDFC Bank Ltd They told me if you are not taken insurance from HDFC ERGO they do not sanction your loan as well.

On ** May **** my mother is passed away first she is suffering from covid from ** April **** to * May **** after that she recovered from covid but still admitted to MAX hospital Vaishali and on ** MAY **** due to Cardiac Arrest( told by Treating and ICU Doctors) she is passed away.

After that I request HDFC ERGO for the Claim of Credit Sheild and Critical Illness, They want some documents from my side as I provided the document. Now they told me that their insurance credit shield only protects or covers accidental deaths and critical illness not cover heart attack as critical illness and on that basis, they denied my claim.

I had several questions for you and HDFC ERGO

*. When HDFC ERGO issue policy to my mother why don't they told us that their claim is only in the case of accidental death. At that time their representative makes us fool and sold their Sarva Suraksha Policy.

*. Their Executive told me Critical Illness Means Several organs Failure, In My Mother Case her Respiratory System and Heart both organs are failed so it's not a multiorgan failure.

*. At the time of Issuing any Insurance Policy the insurance company is to phone call the insured person on a recorded line to clarify the benefits and exclusion of the policy. please told HDFC ERGO to share that recording to me.

*. They denied my claim but what action they are taken towards DSA and the Sales team, Nothing as they earn business from them and make fool people like us.

I had a request with you kindly consider my matter and take action on this as I had the last hope which is IRDA if you are not doing something positive in this. Then what did common people do and companies like HDFC ERGO and Their team make fool of us by selling this fraudulent product to us.
