DTDC - Courier package not delivered

I had a courier package (AWB D******** dated **th July ****) from Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. The local DTDC office at Athani, Thrissur, Kerala threatened to send the package back if it is not picked up from their office. They say they do not do home delivery. This is despite the fact that my residence is less than * kms away and hardly ** steps from the main state highway that leads to the nearest town, Thrissur, from the DTDC Athani Office. All other couriers give me home delivery. The local DTDC branch has now redirected it back to the sender. Take payment for home delivery, without delivering ask for it to be picked up and send it back on the same day if not picked up. Last time I use DTDC. Professional Couriers are much better.
