I am writing this complaint to bring to notice the extremely poor service and negligence displayed by Yatra.com in handling my refund request raised under their Death Waiver Policy.
Due to the unfortunate demise of an immediate family member, I raised a refund request well in advance under the applicable death waiver policy, along with all required details and documentation. This was not a casual or voluntary cancellation, but a genuine request arising out of a sensitive and unavoidable personal tragedy.
The Yatra customer support team initially confirmed that they would coordinate with the airline and update me regarding the refund status. However, despite multiple follow-ups through emails and support requests, I have received absolutely no response or update from Yatra.com.
What is deeply concerning is that my scheduled travel date is just * days away, and Yatra’s continued silence has caused immense mental stress and anxiety during an already emotionally distressing period. Ignoring customer communications in such sensitive cases reflects gross negligence and extremely poor customer service standards.
Yatra.com’s failure to process or even respond to a refund request under a death waiver policy amounts to deficiency in service, unfair trade practice, and mental harassment, making them liable under consumer protection laws.
At the end they gave some miss call on my number and they are saying we tried to call you and there was no response from my side.
Relief Sought:
Immediate processing of my refund under the applicable Death Waiver Policy
Written confirmation and transparent communication regarding the refund status
Compensation for mental harassment and emotional distress caused due to negligence
Any other relief deemed fit by the Honorable Consumer Forum
I request the Consumer Forum to kindly take cognizance of this matter and direct Yatra.com to act responsibly and provide the relief at the earliest.
Im attaching the emails and call logs screenshot from my side showing how many times i have called and emailed them.
