I am writing to lodge a complaint against KFC India for repeatedly sending me order-related SMS notifications on my personal mobile number , despite me never placing any such orders or giving them permission to contact me.
Over the past few months, I have been receiving unsolicited messages from KFC stating that an order is ready for pickup or is being processed. I have not placed any order, nor have I ever registered my phone number with KFC or any of their online ordering platforms. This leads me to believe either:
*. A third party (possibly a random customer) is using my phone number when placing orders, OR
*. KFC or their technology partners are using my number for testing or internal purposes without my consent.
Regardless of the cause, these repeated messages constitute an invasion of privacy, cause unnecessary distress, and are a misuse of personal contact information. Despite attempts to block or ignore the messages, the issue persists.
I request you to kindly help.
Immediately cease using my phone number for any further communication,
Investigate how my number came to be used, and
Ensure that such misuse of personal data does not occur in the future.
Attached are screenshots/logs of the unsolicited messages received.
