Simpl - Complaint Against Simpl for Unauthorized and Irremovable Autopay Mandate

I am filing this complaint against Simpl (One Sigma Technologies Private Limited) regarding an issue with an autopay mandate linked to my GPay UPI account.

I had initially set up an autopay mandate through GPay UPI to pay my Simpl bill. Later, I attempted to delete this mandate in order to make payments manually, but I was not allowed to do so. I raised a complaint with Simpl (Ticket No: *******). In their email response, Simpl confirmed that the autopay mandate of Rs. **,*** had been removed. However, this mandate is still active and visible on my GPay UPI account.

Despite repeated follow-ups, Simpl has stopped responding and has closed my complaint without providing any resolution. On contacting GPay, they clarified that as per NPCI guidelines, neither I nor GPay can revoke this autopay mandate since Simpl is a financial service provider. Only Simpl has the authority to remove the mandate.

At no point was I informed that this would be a permanent and non-revocable mandate on my account. This lack of transparency and the inability to revoke the mandate has caused me significant distress and inconvenience.

I request the Consumer Court to kindly take necessary action against Simpl for their unfair practice. I also seek compensation for the mental stress and harassment caused due to their negligence and lack of proper resolution.
