Dear Voxya Team,
I am writing to file a complaint against HP regarding the denial of warranty service and the demand for unjust repair charges for my laptop. I purchased an HP laptop ** months ago, and it is still under the warranty period. Recently, I noticed a yellow discoloration from the bottom side of the laptop.
I contacted the HP Support team via WhatsApp to address this issue. Despite a lengthy conversation, the support team informed me that the discoloration is considered physical damage and is not covered under the warranty. They have quoted repair charges of INR **,*** + GST + Technician charges, which I find unreasonable and unfair.
I believe this issue should be covered under the warranty as I have not caused any physical damage to the laptop. I request the consumer forum to investigate this matter and ensure that HP honors their warranty obligations without imposing unjust charges on the customer.
I have attached relevant documentation, including the purchase receipt, warranty details, and the conversation with the HP Support team, for your reference.
