Promett Mitra filed complaint against Air India on Dec 29, 2020
Air India has damaged my Check In luggage upon my Arrival at Delhi Airport on **th November, **** from Bangalore via AI Flt No. ***. The damages are beyond repairable and the Airline has been very lack luster in there response towards my complaint. A complain file No. DELAI*****/**NOV**/****GMT was registered with the airlines on **th, November. After a month, they have agreed to compensate only *K INR provided I submit the damaged back to the AI Office or the nearest airport where AI is in operation. I had requested them to send someone to collect the damaged bag since I am no longer in the city and surely it is not expected that I would be carrying along the damaged item over a month throughout the Country as I travel. They have rejected my request and offered me a compensation of *K INR for not submitting the luggage. This is highly unacceptable as an Airlines first damages the item of passenger and then puts in all sorts of T&Cs together to further harass customer. I requested them either they should send someone to collect the bag from the address provided or compensate the entire *K amount offered by the Airlines. I am not getting any proper response from AIR INDIA and don't know how to address this issue.
