Hi There,
I bought myself an insurance from OneAssist in the month of May ****. This was my third handset I got an insurance for, from OneAssist. Thanks to this incident, their true face came in front of me.
How accident happened?
I was sleeping on **th July and while sleeping, its my daily habit to keep my handset beside my pillow. At night, somehow the handset might have fallen on ground and the screen cracked in * parts. I called up OneAssist the next day and filed a claim. They took the handset on **th July **** and after a week, I got a mail from their end informing me that my claim was rejected due to following reason:
"The subject claim is not admissible under exclusion ** - Loss or damage caused by incorrect storage, wilful negligence (No proper care of handset has not been taken by insured to safeguard the property.)"
I am not getting why in the first place I got the insurance, and what is their policy of "Accident"?
Clearly, this was an accident, doesn't matter as long as I didn't purposely did it.
I thought its no use of keeping any sort of relations with them and further asked them to cancel my plan.. to which they told me that I was not going to get even the initial amount of ****/- i paid to get my handset insured.
Total damage: *****/- + ****/-
