I have ordered yesterday * pizza's from la pinoz pizza ellisbrig Ahmedabad from my father's mobile. I have paid advance through Paytm.
I got message from Zomato regarding delivery man left restaurant to deliver my order. I waited ** to ** minutes but no one came at my location. Even I also not get the details of delivery person as well as no tracking even show on their mobile application. After ** to ** minutes I got message that they have cancelled my order due to I am not at my location and I am not contactable at all. As I have ordered from my father's mobile I have changed the number in account because of the other number is not working. I have changed the Same before the order but in order summary it shows old inactive number. I accept that I am not contactable due to inactiv number but delivery partner also not came at my location and Zomato cancelled order showing reason that I was not at my location to collect the food and not contactable as if I was paid advance and I was at my home and even I have given right address and also marked on map my exact location.
I have mailed to Zomato regarding the same but they said as I am not contactable and not at my place they cancelled the order and they denied for refund.
I think due to Zomato have policy related to cancelled order as thr delivery person can take cancelled order the delivery person started this types of practice to cancelled the order and take the food for themselves.
Zomato have no control over their delivery person and we have to suffer by paying hard earned money for this fraud.
