I bought this health insurance policy (Policy# PROHLN*********) last year from ManipalCigna with the help from Policy Bazaar sales executive Tara Chandra (Employee id# PW*****) During that time, he informed me that manipalCigna follows a slab structure and the premium doesn't change when I am within a particular age slab. He told me that as per my age at that time, my premium is not going to change for a couple of years. Based on that promise, I did buy this policy from Manipal Cigna and paid the premium of Rs. **,***.**. But this year, Manipal Cigna has sent me a renewal notice with an increased premium (Rs. **,***) which is a big increase from the last year. They have increased the premium even without a single claims made so far. When I contacted Manipal Cigna, they told me that they don't have any such age slab system for calculating insurance premium and the premium is going to be increased every year. So, Obviously, now I am feeling cheated. I contacted Policy Bazaar to understand how they can sale the insurance policy by providing wrong information. But they are not responding to my phone calls or my several emails that I have sent to them since last month. My insurance renewal date is approaching and because of policy bazaar's dilly dallying policy, I am in a difficult situation and feeling cheated and harassed during this pandemic situation. Looks like i will be forced pay such unnecessary hike in the premium if something is not done quickly. Hence, I am approaching you and requesting you to please help me make Policy bazaar to be accountable for the promises that they have done to me while selling the insurance policy. This will also protect other customers who are becoming victims of their false promises during sales negotiation. It will also help me decide whether to switch over to a different health insurance provide.
