Hp - Cheap Quality product from HP Manufacturing Defect

I own an HP Envy x*** convertible laptop. It was working fine for past *-* years until couple of days back when I opened it to logged in and it's right hinge popped out making it difficult to access. I haven't been able to receive any help from service center/ customer support. My product is out of warranty, however as much as I have read it online it seems a manufacturing defect and a lot of people have faced the same issue. The company has done nothing to fix it, instead ripping of people by charging **-**k for the damaged part. Please suggest/ advise what can be done here.
