Grievance Regarding Unauthorized Cancellation of Group PNR and Stranding of Passengers in Vietnam
I am raising a formal grievance regarding the mishandling of our group booking by the airline and travel partner, which has caused severe inconvenience, financial loss, and emotional distress.
Our group of * passengers was scheduled to travel from Hanoi to Bengaluru via Kolkata on IndiGo flights. On April **, only * out of * passengers requested cancellation after the flight was rescheduled by more than two hours. However, on April **, the entire group PNR was cancelled without the knowledge or consent of the remaining passengers.
As a result of this unauthorized cancellation, our group was stranded in Vietnam and forced to make alternate travel arrangements at significantly increased fares. Despite repeated attempts to clarify the issue, airline representatives allegedly claimed that consent had been given for cancellation of the full PNR, which is incorrect.
The incident reflects serious negligence in handling group bookings and customer authorization procedures. We request:
Immediate investigation into the unauthorized cancellation of the full PNR.
Full rebooking assistance or reimbursement for additional travel expenses incurred due to fare surges.
Compensation for the hardship, stress, and inconvenience caused.
Accountability from the concerned airline and booking representatives to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
We seek urgent resolution of this matter as passengers were unfairly impacted due to operational and communication failures beyond our control.
