Hajera Q filed complaint against Zomato food delivery on Oct 14, 2019
I placed my order at about *:**pm on * August ****. But unfortunately, as soon as I placed it, I realized that I placed it in the wrong branch so tried cancelling it.This cancellation, I realised was gonna take a while so I took the initiative to call and tell the restaurant myself to Not prepare the order. The restaurant guy said okay right then and this was within * minutes of me placing the order to avoid any food wastage in case my cancellation is approved.
But after a little back and forth zomato isnt able to cancel my order and say that they will deliver so i just agree and tell them to go ahead with the order.
But after half an hour of waiting i open the app and see that my order is cancelled by zomato without informing me.
Now they took the payment, cancelled my order after saying they will deliver it and now are refusing the refund.
i would not ask for refund if i cancelled but now its different. they didnt accept my order cancellation, didnt deliver the food as promised and now do not do the refund.
Please help.
