Whirlpool - Breach of Warranty Agreement and Unethical Practices by Whirlpool India

On December *, ****, I discovered that the Whirlpool Double Door Fridge I purchased from a Digi* outlet in Vasai was no longer functioning. Upon lodging a complaint with the retailer, a service visit was arranged for December *, ****, for which I paid Rs. ***/- as service charges. The technician diagnosed a faulty compressor and advised filing a warranty claim for its replacement.

Despite my warranty being valid, Whirlpool has refused to replace the compressor, citing it is out of production. Instead, I was initially asked to pay Rs. **,***/- for a new fridge, which was later reduced to Rs. *,***/-. Both offers require me to bear additional costs for what is clearly Whirlpool’s responsibility under the warranty terms.

Whirlpool's inability to provide the promised warranty service is a clear breach of consumer trust and violates the Consumer Protection Act, ****. The compressor's unavailability reflects poor planning and inventory management, which should not be at the expense of the customer.

I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue amicably by contacting Whirlpool via email and phone, but their responses have been unsatisfactory. This issue has caused me significant distress, financial strain, and inconvenience.
