Pranoy Das filed complaint against Goibibo on May 11, 2018
I had tried to book tickets on Goibibo on **th of May **** at *:**am for a round trip from Guwahati to Leh via Delhi and Leh to Guwahati via Delhi. The dates for the trip were *th of September and **th of September ****. There were technical glitches when I tried to make the payment from Goibibo application and thus I received a pop up message in the application that Payment has failed. Within another **seconds, I had received a text and an email from Goibibo that the payment on Goibibo has failed and I need to retry to pay the amount with another card. So I did wait for another **-**minutes, but I did not receive any kind of confirmation via text, mail or their application. So after waiting I did book my flight tickets from another service provider, i.e Make My Trip. I received the confirmation from MMT and my tickets were confirmed too. But when I checked my account balance Goibibo had already deducted the whole amount (Rs. *****.**) from my account without confirming my booking or providing me any kind of information via any means of communication. So at *:**am in the morning on the same day, I contacted their customer care service and they could not provide me any kind of help to resolve my issue. They had just filed a request query against my complaint and I was helpless in that situation. After searching in the internet, I found that an individual cannot book two tickets for the same flight. So i did contact the concerned airlines and asked them to cancel the tickets of Goibibo as I had made my tickets on Make My Trip and I did not get my ticket or any kind of information from Goibibo. So the airlines helped me out regarding the tickets from Guwahati to Leh via Delhi. I did contact Goibibo again to tell them about the whole thing and to claim the amount for the tickets from Leh to Guwahati via Delhi. I did send them mail too and I had attached proper evidence required to take action against them. They could not help me out this time too and asked me to wait till the people from their company calls me back. I would request Goibibo to refund me the whole amount, as for the technical glitches or the flaws in their system I am suffering in monetary terms and emotionally. This is a lot of money which is at stake. I won’t accept if they are unable to provide me the whole amount as refund. If they do not provide me the amount, then I do have to take necessary legal actions as required.
