Emirates Airlines - Bad In flight service

I travelled from Dubai to Bangalore along with * others yesterday in the **:** flight(EK ***) which is peak afternoon expected a decent meal on the flight. I selected a nonveg meal looking at the Emirates menu which said it had mutton for non vegetarians. I was very disappointed when the Airhostess told me that there is only beef in the Menu. I have nothing against the meat but basic common sense that a flight coming to Bangalore may have a minimal amount of people that eat beef. Also to bring to your notice there was no veg food to opt for and was told that we had to pre book. I noticed that people sitting in my row and around had to give away thier meal because of this reason. I was highly disappointed with the service of Emirates .Also i had to eat just the junk to control my hunger until i reached back home at ** pm in the night. The worst service and i would never recommend this to anybody in the future. How would you want to compensate this? Didn't i pay for the flight and its services? I'm definitely going to put this up on a common forum so that people now what to expect.
