Rapido Auto bangalore - App Glitch Caused Wrong Drop Location and Safety Concern

I had a really frustrating and honestly unsafe experience with Rapido today. I was travelling from my office to my home, on the same route I take every day. I booked a Rapido auto, and as usual, I checked the drop location three times before starting the ride, it’s a saved address, so there was no chance of me selecting something wrong.

Midway through the ride, the app suddenly glitched and changed my drop location on both my phone and the captain’s device. I didn’t even realise it until the captain stopped on some random street and said we’d reached. I was left in the middle of nowhere, almost * km away from my house.

What made it worse is that I was still charged the full fare, ₹***, which is what I normally pay to reach home. I had to figure out how to get back safely on my own.

This whole experience made me really angry because this isn’t just bad service, it’s a serious safety concern. With everything that’s been happening in the city lately, being dropped unexpectedly in an unfamiliar area is not okay. And the fact that this isn’t the first time the app has glitched like this makes it even more disappointing.

I honestly expected better from Rapido. They seriously need to fix this issue and make sure customer safety isn’t compromised because of an app error.
