Shrijith Venkatramana filed complaint against Amazon on Nov 30, 2023
Amazon ships defective product, couldn't even turn on the laptop on receiving.
Demanding a proof from Apple Store that the laptop is not turning on (!!! - when I can clearly see that laptop is not turning on).
Piyush from the technical department simply referred to the "policy" and refused provide any tangible help.
Had to goto the Apple Authorized center TWICE, to get the "right format" for the support to team to even acknowledge that the product is defective. Also spend whole day chasing this issue (opportunity cost) plus *** Rupees to get report from Apple. Had to call the support team at last **-** times throughout the day, many calls getting cut in between after ** minutes of discussions, dealing with unhelpful support staff behavior.
To top it off, the service team pretended like the customer is at fault or the manufacturer is at fault, and refused to take any responsibility.
Very disappointed
Update:
November **th - Pickup Scheduled, Nobody Showed up to collect device
After followup,
November **th - Pickup Scheduled, Nobody Showed up to collect device, and the status was updated to "Failed to Pickup, Package Not Ready"
Again followed up. Customer agent says * more days to investigate why the return is not happening. No promises on return as well.
November **th:
Followup. Further stalling and delays. Agent says come back on *th of December - while holding onto customer money.
