Negligent Handling of Goods:
Electronic appliances were not packed with proper materials such as bubble wrap.
Except the refrigerator, none of the other household items were packed.
Groceries and kitchen items were thrown around carelessly. As a result:
Boxes containing toor dal and dry fruits were broken.
Items were spilled all over the house and corridor, creating a mess and loss of property.
Unprofessional Staff:
The movers behaved in a completely unprofessional manner, showing no care or responsibility.
It was evident that the staff were untrained and lacked basic moving protocols.
Non-disclosure of Charges:
An additional fee of Rs. *** was charged without prior intimation, for a time slot change.
False Commitments:
I was assured during the booking by NoBroker's sales team that they do not outsource to third-party vendors, and provide high-quality service.
However, the service was clearly outsourced, and contradicted their promises.
Inadequate Resolution and Dismissive Response:
When I raised the issue, NoBroker offered a mere Rs. *** as a “goodwill token.”
Their justification was unacceptable:
They dismissed the spillage of food items (~***g) as negligible.
They claimed the loss of tools used by the movers was my responsibility.
They refused to compensate for the unwrapped electronic items.
Impact:
This experience caused me immense mental stress and emotional pressure during the *-hour shifting process. I chose NoBroker over other vendors assuming professionalism, but the service was worse than local roadside vendors.
Relief Sought:
Full compensation for the damages and losses caused during the shifting.
Refund of unjustified charges levied (Rs. ***).
Compensation for mental harassment and breach of trust.
I kindly request the Hon’ble Consumer Forum to take strict action against NoBroker and direct them to resolve the matter fairly.
