Motorola Mobile - Poor quality of product

I purchased a new Motorola mobile * months back on Feb **th which costs **,***. My mobile glass got broken when it fell down from a height of less than *ft. It's a new mobile and in product features, it was mentioned that glass was protected by gorilla corner glass, which usually won't break for this much small height. I went to the Motorola service centre in Kukatpally. They said it will cost ****. Even though only glass is broken. They said both glass and display screen has to be changed. I have a question about how Motorola was giving to its customers the poor quality of the product.
