I am writing to bring to your attention a grave issue I’ve encountered with Flipkart, concerning a recent purchase of mine. On March *th, ****, I placed an order (Order ID: OD******************) for Nature Made Postnatal medicine through Flipkart’s platform.
Upon receiving the product, I discovered that it had only *-* months of expiration left, contrary to the product description which indicated an expiration date of October **th, ****. This discrepancy is deeply concerning, especially considering the potential health risks associated with consuming expired medicine, particularly for pregnant women.
I promptly reached out to Flipkart’s customer support to address the issue and request a return and refund. However, instead of addressing my concerns, I received a dismissive response from Flipkart, claiming that since the product had open box delivery, the seller would not be able to fulfill my return request. This response is utterly false and misleading, as the product was not opened during delivery.
Despite providing evidence to refute their claims and expressing the seriousness of the situation, Flipkart has failed to take appropriate action. Their negligence and disregard for customer safety are evident in their refusal to acknowledge the gravity of the situation and prioritize customer satisfaction.
As a pregnant woman, receiving expired medicine poses a significant risk to both myself and my unborn child. Flipkart’s actions, or lack thereof, not only demonstrate their failure to uphold basic standards of product quality and customer service but also highlight their indifference towards consumer welfare.
I urge the Consumer Forum to intervene in this matter and hold Flipkart accountable for their negligence and false claims. I seek your assistance in resolving this issue promptly and ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
