Further to my above claim, I would like to state that I have stated the facts while submitting claim and there is nothing to hide about my pre-exist disease of cardiac ailement and diabetes. Insurance coverage is meant for unseen situation / sudden happenings which are beyond the control of insured person. I have tried my level best to save the company and to avoid unnecessary burden through claims. The captioned claim is made only due to strained situation in COVID-**.

Sir, I came to Sweden with my husband for visiting family on **-*-**** with confirmed return ticket of Air India on **-*-**** i.e. for * months. At Gandhinagar, my residence in India, I am undergoing regular domiciliary treatment for Cardiac Ailement and Diabetes from my family physician Dr.D M Pancholi, Gandhinagar since about ** years. I brought medicines for my cardiac ailment and diabetes for * months as prescribed by him.

Thereafter due to Corona situation, Govt. banned the international flights and accordingly Air India have cancelled its all flights. Our confirmed ticket is kept open upto **.**.**** by them, but we are stucked in Sweden. Immediately I have managed for medicines from Gandhinagar in severe lock-down situation also on **.*.**** through my daughter residing at Ahmedabad and after searching options to send it to Sweden, she managed to send it through DHL Courier from Ahmedabad on *.*.** i.e. after lifting partial lock-down. But from Bombay DHL Office they have returned my medicine parcel showing inability to send to Sweden in COVID-** situation as no flights were available for even cargo.

My medicines were finished and being life saving drugs I have to undergo the procedure over here, and approached to local doctor at Capio, Malmo, Sweden on **.*.**** and purchased medicines for * months as prescribed by him. The total claim is made only for the expenses incurred here considering the genuine requirement.

In the foregoing situation, I request not to reject based on “Policy does not extend coverage for pre-existing ailement and its complication” but please consider the claim for medical expenses incurred due to strained situation of COVID-**.
