We had planned our family vacation to Maldives with Sharing Travels Pvt Ltd through Travel Triangle. Out trip is scheduled between *nd Apr to *th Apr ****. Due to the outbreak of COVID**, our flight of GOAir in which the tickets were booked also got cancelled. Also, since we were to travel with our *.*yrs old kid and as per the advisories being issued by Government of India, we thought of cancelling the trip. But inspite of numerous call and email conversations the travel agency is not ready to refund a single penny quoting the reason as the amount is non refundable from the resort and the airlines. But when I produced the evidence of the airline being cancelled they agreed upon the refund of flight charges but said amount paid to the resort is non refundable, which as per them is Rs **,*** (so I have made a payment of Rs. **,*** + Rs *** conveyance fees. Total trip cost is Rs. *,**,*** + Rs *** conveyance fees) so technically I will not get any refund. Upon multiple discussion they finally provided me an option to reschedule the trip on ***s of terms and conditions like thr trip has to be planned before Sep ****, we will have to bare the rescheduling cost of the resort (which they are yet to confirm the exact amount), bare the change the airfare, my child's extra fare amount since by Sep **** she would have completed * yrs so her ticket will be same as that of an adult. My point here is why should I bare all these extra penalties of no fault of mine. I have planned the trip before my child completes * yrs to save much of her ticket fare also the trip is planned at our convenient time. Now I have some personal commitments due to which I cant travel before Nov **** but they are pressuring me to have the rescheduling done before Sep **** after that the resort is not ready to accept the booking. Also, they are insisting that the additional ticket fare of my child to be borne by me. This way by adding the child's extra ticket fare, * adults fare change amount, Resort's fare change (extra charges for rescheduling) would make my trip cost almost double. And on top of it they are putting immense pressure on me to revert in few hours timeline. Please take this up and help me to get my amount refunded. I don't want o travel with this kind of Travel Agents as they are not at helpful and trustworthy. I feel even if travel through them to a Foreign land they may not be of any help in case of need or any emergency and I would be traveling with my small kid.
