Following email I sent to spicejet still no response.
Hello Spicejet team,
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from your associates at the SpiceJet counter at Bengaluru Airport on October **th, **** PNR- XEUVTW ; Flight number SG****. The conduct of your staff was unprofessional and the handling of the situation was highly unfair, which has caused me both financial and emotional distress.
Despite having only * kgs of excess baggage, my colleague in the queue—who had ample allowance in his own baggage—was willing to accommodate the excess weight for me. However, your associate refused to allow this arrangement, citing that we arrived separately, even though it was due to our office timings. As a result, I was forced to pay an additional ₹*,*** for the excess weight, which I find unreasonable because my friend had space and he was going to the same destination.
Moreover, after paying the additional charges, your staff removed dry spices (cardamom, cloves) from my luggage, claiming they were prohibited, despite no such restrictions being clearly mentioned anywhere in your guidelines as per link https://corporate.spicejet.com/DGR.aspx I was allowed to take that in my check-in baggage that associate refused. This resulted in me having to discard these expensive dry food worth ₹*,***, further adding to my frustration and financial loss. Additionally, your associates even weighed my water bottle, which seemed completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
The lack of cooperation and rude behavior by your staff was unacceptable. Even after paying the excess baggage charges, I was treated poorly and with a complete lack of empathy or flexibility. This experience has severely damaged my trust in SpiceJet as a customer, and I am seeking a full refund of ₹*,*** for the excess baggage fee+ **** for spices. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter against the company.
I hope for a prompt and fair resolution to my complaint, as this incident has left me with a very negative impression of your airline making me never travel with the airline even after I accommodated the delay of the flight.
