Amazonindia - Serial Number Mismatch in Invoice

I'd purchased a fresh 'HP *** All-in-One Ink Tank Colour Printer' from AmazonIndia on **thSep**** and it went fault on **Sep**** upon checking to claim manufacture warranty, found that Manufacture Warranty already expired before *yr of purchase date. In HP site End Date was **Nov****. So I contacted HP support for warranty service claim and I was asked to share Invoice,P-Slip along with photo of serial number in printer etc to have it updated at their end. Now on **Sep**** I received mail from HP stating the claim is rejected as there's mismatch in serial number in Invoice,P-slip with that in the printer. As the warranty period is about to get expired, within the same day(**Sep****) itself I logged a complaint with AmazonIndia via chat, detailing the issue and requested updated Invoice,P-slip etc with the correct serial number, also I shared a photo of serial number in printer via mail-id 'imagerequest@amazon.in' as per the request by support executive.
**Sep****: As there wasn't any update yet I had a call with support and then only they registered the issue and asked me to wait few days for an update. So previous chat with support didn't logged a complaint.
**Sep****: Again since there's no update I made the AmazonIndia's social media team aware of the issue via https://twitter.com/josephveejay/status/*******************
Since then they're saying, it's being escalated. And is in endless escalations till date without a resolution.
**Sep****: It's been a year from purchase date so warranty period expired. As the printer still not working, now for me to claim service I've to pay for it.
**Oct****: They are still escalating this for the updated documents and as the warranty period is expired, it's of no use to claim warranty.
They should either replace the printer with a fresh one or return it and refund the amount.
