I am saddened and disheartened by the very recent disappointing experience with the Make My Trip bookings. The way they have provided the service was very much unprofessional and unethical. Their executives Taniya, Rahul Jain, Heena, Kanchan Sharma & Sachin have given a very poor response and service. I have been in a belief that MMT provides the best services on hotel bookings but after getting this kind of service I don't feel the same anymore.
I have booked Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Salcete, Goa from MMT app for * nights & * days with a breakfast plan & mine booking id was NH*************. After checking the plans for * to * times, I have selected the room with a breakfast plan. But they provided me the room only facility with no meal plan. I have never seen such poor service from a well-known service provider anywhere.
I would like to bring your attention here on the following issues that I have faced even after paying for the desired services.
Key Points & Issues:
*. Mine budget was fixed and I have decided that it should not exceed a lakhs rupees with breakfast plan.
*. I have selected a proper plan after checking though I had to face this issue.
*. I had to pay extra for breakfast. The breakfast plan of MMT was ****+ taxes & I have paid ****+ taxes for it.
*. Got Taj gift card worth rupees ***, which should have been of rupees **** as mentioned by MMT while booking.
In this screenshot, you can see that the plan is selected by me with breakfast and **,*** rupees to be paid for one night. And rupees **,*** is for the only room service.
After selecting the desired plan I came across this screen where the total amount of the booking is to be paid. Here you can see the amount of **,*** rupees for one day is getting charged & I though this amount is under some offer from MMT, though the amount of **,*** is mentioned below with taxes, service fees, and GST. Here you can also see the Taj gift card worth rupees **** is given after the booking is done.
I have paid for the booking on *th November through my credit card the bill was generated (You can see the bill in an attachment ) and I got it through mail and whatsapp. I have checked the bill then I raised my concern & called up the MMT people after seeing the room only plan mentioned in a bill. They assured me to solve the problem in the next ** hrs. Then I got a call from MMT on *th November & they told me that I have selected the room only plan. And after asking that from where this amount of **,*** rupees has come, the MMT executive was unable to give the satisfying answer.
This is very ridiculous and when I told them that I have taken the screenshots while booking then they suddenly changed their voice tone and the way they were talking to me and asked me to send the screenshots on mail. I told them on *th November to solve this issue on an urgent basis & I will be in transit on *th November as I have to check-in on **th November. And even shared the screenshot of the booking and selected plan with them.
While dealing with all these issues I got mail of a Taj gift card of rupees *** and previously it was mentioned that I will get a Taj gift card worth rupees **** after the booking is done. Mine every experience was disappointing and absurd with MMT.
Then suddenly I got a cashback message from MMT on **th November, there was a cashback of rupees **** and I don't know what's this cashback is for as it is not mentioned in it.
I urge the higher authorities of MMT to take this complaint of mine very seriously and be answerable for the entire event. Also to bring to your knowledge that I had to pay extra for the breakfast at the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Salcete, Goa for * days even after booking the room with the breakfast plan.
