- Refund required for booked travel plan Closed
Travel plan to phuket,bangkok was booked from *th Feb ****.full amount was paid to the travel agency, we planned for a hassle free trip but it turned out to be the worst nightmare. After booking the travel plan we asked travel agency that I had indian passport and my wife had nepal passport.Travel agency said that we can travel and proper visa information was not given by travel agency prior to travel.i have also uploaded the passport in their portal but no one from their verification team tried to check and inform about visa formalities.
When we reached airport, airport checkin officials denied us from boarding flight as nepal passport does not get visa on arrival(this information we got to know at the airport during checkin). Our flight tickets were cancelled, we had a discussion with travel agent about modifying of dates from their end but they did not do.we requested airport officials to modify the flight tickets to next week or later date but they denied saying that they can only modify prior to *hours of flight departure.as it was midnight flight me and my wife were exhausted waiting at the airport. We then wrote a mail to nodal officer at airport related to our cancelled ticket.
We contacted the travel agency for refund or modification of travel plan.for refund they said they cant do..so we asked them to modify the flight tickets,they charged *k extra at once and later they said to pay **k extra..I paid *k and before paying **k extra I asked travel agency to refund my hard earned money.They just denied saying that it was my fault..My fault was that I choose their travel plan,my fault was that I paid them full money..**k + *k + *K airport transportation. These expenses i have beared and travel agency is telling they won't refund. This is really injustice, I have done full payment and never used any of their services(flight travel/hotel stay/dinner) but still they are denying to refund..
I am raising this issue, legally_ dear voxya team_please register my complaint against Travel Triangle( sub agent: Travel* agent)and get me my money back..
I wanted to book a travel plan and enjoy but due to their negligency I am booking a complaint.No customer wants their trip to be cancelled due to misguidance or less information.
