Case: I, Nisha Bedi ordered a pair of shoes from paio.com costing **** and paid through netbanking as a prepaid order.
I received my product on ** April afternoon.
I inform the customer care whatsapp that I have received a product that is loose in fitting and has sub standard finishing. I requested for the process to return and refund the same.
I received a reply on ** April from the customer service. They refused to refund the amount of the order in my bank account and offered store credit or exchange.
I called them up and sent them a screenshot of the information on their website that says refund is given in prepaid orders for special cases. I explained to them that the product is not comfortable from toe surface, it has bad finishing, the shoes are loose and it doesn't fulfill the description given online on their website. Plus, since I'm immigrating soon the store credit will be of no use for me. Also, since I did not like the quality of the product I feel coerced into buying more substandard products by imposition of store credit. Yet, they refused to accommodate repeated requests.
Since returns must be made in ** days. I have applied for return online to avoid any hassles in future. The return form gave options for store credit and exchange and I opted for store credit. Yet, I want a monetary refund to my bank account as this is coercion.
In addition, I made returns by Delhivery logistics on ** April ****, that costed *** INR. This amount too will be credited to my store credit instead of monetary compensation. Its like being punished for all mistakes being committed by the ecommerce business.
Paio customer service also does not respond to any more requests for refund and only respond to queries other than that.
FYI- Initially when I placed the order, after a few days the order showed cancelled on their website. I raised a concern and was informed that its just a glitch and my order will be processed as before. Yet, the glitch was rectified only when I told them that I am unable to initiate return on their website.

This has been a very time consuming, humiliating and harassing experience. I would like to be compensated for all the harrowing experience and the fee I need to pay for getting refund
